Have you been scrolling through the Friday Inspiration File for the project you'd like to use for the 300 Weeks Of Inspiration Challenge on Friday?  Have you started working on your project yet? If you're not sure what I'm talking about, check out {this post} from Monday.  I hope you are going to participate.  The prize is pretty good!

To get you in the mood to participate I have a card inspired by the one and only Debby From Lime Doodle Design!  I have added her to The File more times than I can count, but she's just.that.good!  If you don't know Debby, you're missing out.  The card I CASED was from Week #297.

I had a lot of fun creating this card.  My colors did not turn out as vibrant as Debby's.  I also had difficulty getting my white gel pen to create a bold white line like Debby was able to achieve.  All in all though I'm happy with my first attempt at creating watercolor plaid and I think my hubby will like it, warts and all ;)!

In Preparation For The 300 Weeks Of Inspiration Challenge

Monday, January 30, 2017

Good Morning!
This Friday will mark the 300th week of my Friday Inspiration File Pinterest board , blog feature and Instagram posts.  I have been adding my favorites {of YOUR creations} weekly for 6 years!  It all started as a way to highlight your work so that in the vast sea of blogs amazing projects and designers wouldn't be overlooked.

Every 100 weeks I have hosted a challenge and given away prizes as a fun way to celebrate YOU and all of your amazing inspiration.  This Friday will be the 300 Weeks Of Inspiration Challenge.  I will ask you to go into the Friday Inspiration File and find a project to CASE or simply use as inspiration for a project you create.  Share your project and link it up here and you will be entered to win a $30 GC to your favorite stamp store {one winner}!
More details on the actual challenge post this Friday 2/3/17 so come back then!

Today I thought I'd get us started by doing just that....
My card today was heavily inspired by Wendy Price from the blog Paper, Ink and Smiles.  Her THANKS card from Week #293 caught my eye with those cute critters peeking out from the die cut 'thanks', so cute!  I knew I had the just the supplies to recreate the look.  I used WP9 Whimsy Alpha Dies and Winter Pals.

I hope this gives you a head start thinking about which project you'd like to use as inspiration for the challenge on Friday 2/3/17

BOOM!

Thursday, January 26, 2017

Hello! I'm on the WPlus9 Blog today sharing a card and another little tip for getting your creativity jump started!  When I created it I started by placing all of the sentiments from Unconditionally on an acrylic block and stamping them as a background.  Once all that care was taken to place the stamps the way I wanted them I couldn't stamp just one.  I stamped multiple potential card fronts.  As I explain on the WP9 Blog, I knew I wanted stamp this background, but beyond that I wasn't sure what I wanted to do next.

The card on the WP9 blog is stamped in black ink, this one was stamped with Versamark ink and embossed with white embossing powder. I added color with several Distress Inks  in shades of pink and red.

When the panel was dry I pulled out my stash of die cuts that hadn't made their way onto a previous project.  Placing these pieces on my background it became clear how I wanted to embellish it.  This adorable elephant from Unforgettable was already stamped, but not colored.  When I moved him around the stamped panel I loved how it could look like that little heart was coming from his trunk.  I colored him with some Copics that coordinated with the colors on the card already.

Love him!
Thanks so much for coming by.
